Safety

It took some time to fill the void that Brian Dawkins left, but it appears that the Eagles have finally filled it.

Malcolm Jenkins and Rondey McLeod are among the best safety tandems in the NFL. Jenkins and McLeod are the backbone of Jim Schwartz‘s defense. In their first season playing together, both safeties fed off each other very nicely. Jenkins recorded 72 tackles, one sack, three interceptions (with two returned for touchdowns) and nine passes defended while McLeod recorded 83 tackles one sack, three interceptions and seven passes defended. Despite the weakness at CB, both Jenkins and McLeod have picked up the slack.

With Jenkins’ leadership and experience to go along with McLeod’s hard-hitting style, this tandem will be force to be reckoned with for many years to come.
