Jason Peters named one of the 50 greatest Eagles of all time
Eagles left tackle Jason Peters got some pretty high praise recently.
There’s been no shortage of Jason Peters stories over the last 12 months. Will the Philadelphia Eagles extend him? How much will he get? Would he accept a pay cut? Why isn’t he at OTAs? How much longer will he play? Could he be moved to guard? Yes, his name has come up a time or two, but when the smoke settled, fans and coaches got most of what they wanted. Peters is on the team, and he may end his career in Eagles green.
Training camp is approaching, and players off. Those who haven’t had their sports fix satisfied by the NBA Playoffs or the MLB All-Star Game are still talking a little football with friends and coworkers. If you’re watching old games on your smartphones or combing the search engines for content, you’re not in the minority. Training camps can’t get here fast enough.
Peters gets some recognition:

Peters found his way onto a pretty exclusive list recently as Pennlive.com named their top 50 Eagles of all time. He cracked the list at number eleven. That makes him the only current member of the team on the list, and it also makes him second among linemen. Former Eagles defensive tackle/offensive tackle Al Wistert finished six spots ahead of him at number five.
This is what they had to say on Peters:
“Peters, 35, still has time to build upon his legacy as one of the Eagles’ best offensive lineman of all time. He’s made seven of his nine career Pro Bowls since arriving in Philadelphia in 2009 and earned first-team all-pro honors in 2011, 13 and ‘14.”

The numbers speak for themselves. Is Peters the best lineman in Eagles history? It’s definitely worth debating, but there’s no doubting the fact that he’s definitely in the conversation.
