Is LeSean McCoy giving Jordan Matthews a ‘stiff-arm’ in Buffalo?
Former Eagles LeSean McCoy and Jordan Matthews have reunited in Buffalo, and “Shady” doesn’t seem too excited.
There may be a few Philadelphia Eagles fans who tune in to a game or two featuring the Buffalo Bills. They definitely feature a few familiar faces. They’re led by former Eagles defensive coordinator and secondary coach Sean McDermott. Newly added Jordan Matthews won’t be in the lineup immediately thanks to a sternum injury, but he’ll be there as well. Then, there’s their running back, LeSean McCoy.
“Shady” continues to be as petty as he’s been over the last coupe of seasons as he appears to have never gotten over the Eagles’ trading him for linebacker Kiko Alonso. Sure most of us hated the trade just as much as he did when it happened. Still, whenever the subject is brought up, McCoy can sometimes sound like a guy who never got over being dumped by the girl who’s moved on and gotten married.

Following the trade that brought cornerback Ronald Darby to Philadelphia, Matthews was officially a teammate of McCoy‘s again. Of course, McCoy was approached for comment. Of course, he had a response. “Shady” seems to think the Bills may experience a drop-off in talent at the receiver position in 2017. Buffalo traded Sammy Watkins shortly before moving Darby for Matthews. The team’s starting running back doesn’t seem to be happy.
“[There’s] obviously a difference,” said McCoy when asked about his Bills moving one wide receiver and adding another. “If you compare the two, it’s obvious you can agree who is better.”

That’s not what you want to hear when you’re the new guy in the locker room. Sure, there may be some truth to it, but it didn’t need to be said. Who knows? Maybe McCoy views Matthews as one of the guys he’s still angry at. The Bills travel to Philadelphia for a date with the Eagles on Thursday night. The game is the second preseason game for both teams. That will be the first opportunity to see all of the former Eagles together. We’ll all, no doubt, be tuning in.
