6. Can you say road warriors?

It’s one thing to dominate at home. It’s something else entirely to be dominant on the road and do so with a young team. Philly’s now  5-1 for only the second time in team history when four of their first six games have been on the road.

7. Okay, this one may not be as fun.. This may make you angry.

We try not to argue about officiating. That would make us more like the Cowboys fan base. Still, it has to be said. Pete Morelli should never be allowed to officiate an Eagles game again. The last four times he’s done so Philly’s been flagged for 40 penalties, resulting in 396 penalty yards.

Their opponents have been hit with eight total penalties, including one penalty for a total of one yard.

8. Jake Elliott is on a rampage and has found his groove.

Elliott went two-for-three against the New York Giants, but no one will remember that because his final boot set a record and sank the “G-Men”. Since then, he’s hit all eight of his attempts. That includes two of 50 yards or more.

9. Pro football focus gives Carson Wentz the highest grade of his career.

PFF is probably the most interesting thing that’s ever been created, that and the peanut butter and jelly sandwhich. That’s especially true in an era that includes Fantasy Football. Carson Wentz was given an overall grade of 86.6 after his performance on Thursday Night Football. That’s the third-highest grade of his young career.

10. Win/loss record: 5-1

Honestly, these are the only two numbers that really matter. The Eagles are in first place, and now the “road warriors” head back to the friendly confines of Lincoln Financial Field for three straight. The next game is on October 23rd on Monday Night Football. They’ll take on the hated Redskins.
