Elijah Qualls, DT, 6th Round.

Defensive tackle Elijah Qualls was selected 214th overall by the Eagles. Just like any other late round pick, Qualls was fighting hard to make a spot on the 53-man roster. After a strong preseason with 11 tackles and a sack in 3 games, Qualls made a solid push to make the squad.

Unfortunately for him, Qualls plays behind guys like Fletcher Cox, Timmy Jernigan, and Beau Allen. Although Qualls could probably develop into a decent player over time, he will have to be very patient. The Eagles currently have one of, if not, the best defensive line in football. It would be difficult for any late round player to find their way into that starting lineup. With only two assisted tackles in his limited playing time, it is hard to judge the selection of Qualls this early on.
