Even in a season that ended a bit prematurely, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz’s star continues to rise.

It appears that injuries have done nothing to dim the bright light that shines on Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. That’s despite the fact that he went down with a Week 14 injury. That’s also due to the constant attention that’s surrounded his replacement, Nick Foles, both for good reasons and bad ones.

Even though he missed the remaining four games of the NFL regular season and the entire Eagles’ playoff push, fans of this great team, and apparently the rest of the NFL, can’t get enough of the Philly’s star quarterback.

Everyone wants to ride on the ‘Wentz Wagon’. Recently, we’ve seen the results of his influence yet again.

NFL fans are in love with number 11.

According to NFLShop.com, Carson Wentz’s jersey ranked number one in overall sales for the period of September 1st through January 18th.

That means he beat out New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who led in ten states for a considerable portion of the season and led in most states when sales were tallied. He also beat out Dak Prescott, the leader on offense from the so-called ‘America’s Team’, the Dallas Cowboys.

Brady and Prescott rounded out the top three. Wentz had the most overall sales in D.C., North Dakota (that one’s obvious), Montana, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Utah, Delaware and of course Pennsylvania (what’s now been affectionately renamed as Wentzylvania).

Wentz won’t be able to square off against Brady in Super Bowl LII, but you can count on one thing. The camera will find him a time or two when February 4th rolls around, and it’s certain to find him in the days leading up to football’s biggest game as well.
