It’s a great time to be a Philadelphia Eagles fan. After winning Super Bowl LII, they look to improve themselves at the NFL Combine.

The highlight of the parade in ‘The City of Brotherly’ honoring the World Champion Philadelphia Eagles was, no doubt, the speech by center Jason Kelce. That wasn’t the only thing that came out of Philly’s first Super Bowl victory however. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson, in his final presser of the season, called Philly’s march through the NFL Playoffs and their subsequent Super Bowl victory ‘the new norm’. This is an organization that hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down in their quest for another Lombardi Trophy.

They know building a strong foundation for success starts with their personnel. They’ve been very active during the NFL Combine and appear serious about keeping as many good players in the fold as they can.

The Eagles were just as busy on day three of the NFL Combine as they were on days one and two. They spoke with three defensive linemen and six linebackers who probably have a good chance of finding their way onto the team’s draft board when they get closer to April’s draft in Dallas.

In addition to a formal interview with defensive tackle Tim Settle, Philly had an informal interview with Hercules Mata’afa, and defensive line coach Chris Wilson had an informal interview with defensive tackle Deadrin Senat.

That was just the defensive linemen.

The Eagles also met with linebackers Malik Jefferson, Rashaan Evans and Leighton Vander Esch in formal interviews, and they met with Oren Burks, Tegray Scales and Josey Jewell informally.

The Eagles are in a great spot for their future. They have tremendous talent at several positions. In those areas, the plan is to, now, add depth. In other areas where they seem thin, linebacker for example, they can add some key pieces for the future. Whoever they add at the second level may have a very high chance of playing an important role early.
