Eagles OL Brandon Brooks voices his displeasure with former team
The Houston Texans recently made a move that has frustrated Philadelphia Eagles guard, Brandon Brooks.
The NFL can be a cutthroat business sometimes. Players will give it their all, and they can still be left with nothing in the end. We have seen it quite a few times with the Philadelphia Eagles, and to this day certain players will lose their jobs for unfavorable reasons. For that, fellow NFL players will tend to get frustrated when they see it happen to a friend of theirs.
For those of you who are out of the loop with AFC news, the Houston Texans recently cut their six-year veteran offensive tackle Derek Newton. The veteran has been dealing with an injury since the 2016 season and hasn’t been able to perform on the field since.
Current Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard and former Texans’ player Brandon Brooks did not take the news about his former teammate kindly. On Thursday, Brooks immediately took to Twitter to voice his anger towards his old organization about their recent decision.
Brooks’ Reaction:
Players won’t shy away from expressing themselves when they feel like someone they know personally has been wronged. Brooks was the perfect example of that on Thursday. He also followed up with his statement by making it very clear that he was grateful to be with the Eagles now, rather than the Texans.

When Brooks current teammate Lane Johnson responded with “Glad you got up outta’ there,” Brooks concurred with a roaring response. Clearly, Brooks couldn’t be more thrilled with being a part of the Eagles organization. He also continued to state that he is happy to be a Super Bowl champion and a Pro Bowl selection. He briefly added that coming from Houston to Philadelphia, he has noticed a significant difference in how the organizations are ran. Apparently, the Eagles are doing the right thing keeping their players happy.
