Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert was officially introduced to the media on Saturday.

Well, the kid from South Dakota can, now, say he knows his way to the Novacare Complex. Tight end Dallas Goedert was officially introduced as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in ‘The City of Brotherly Love’ on Saturday.

It was almost as if we all were there as the Eagles and the Philadelphia media kept us involved in the entire process throughout the day. Take a look at some of the highlights:

Let’s not waste any time. Here are five immediate questions that came up as we all all watched Goedert’s first full day with his new team.

1. Dude seems pretty comfortable.

So far, there are no signs of any rookie jitters. Goedert approached the podium, seemed confident and smiled throughout the entire process. He’s articulate, and fans are going to like him (especially if he’s just as comfortable on the NFL field.

Eagles insider Dave Spadaro (a name no Eagles fan isn’t familiar with) took a moment to speak with the 2018 NFL Draft’s 49th-overall selection. Take a look:

2.Wait. Is there a relationship budding already with the rookie and the franchise quarterback?

More from Inside the Iggles

You heard it yourself. Goedert and Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz both have the same agent. They’ve apparently talked. You already know about them both being from the Dakotas. The relationship these two build off of the field may translate to Sundays. If so, watch out.

Any guesses as to whether or not Wentz has already invited him on one of those hunting trips?

3. Maybe there needs to be an ’88 Club’ in Philly.

Anyone notice he’s now wearing the number of the guy he was drafted to replace? Trey Burton left some pretty big shoes to fill, you know, throwing a touchdown pass in the Super Bowl and all.

Philly’s new tight end wears a number that’s been worn by the likes of Eagles greats Keith Jackson, Herschel Ramsey, John Zilly, Bob Hudson, Bill Larson and so many others. The Dallas Cowboys have an ’88 Club’. Why not make a better one in Philly?

4. How accurate are the comparisons to Zach Ertz?

As we mentioned before, NFL.com compares Goedert to current Eagles tight end Zach Ertz. While questions about his ability to separate at football’s highest level have come into focus, there haven’t been many questions about his hands or potential.

Much work is need, so before you jump out of your seat, let’s all calm down for a second.

5. Make no mistake. It’s going to take some coaching to get this marriage to work.

In NFL.com’s evaluation of Goedert, they mentioned he ‘dominated a lower level of competition and will have to prove he can uncover and block against bigger, more explosive athletes as a pro.’ No one expected that he wouldn’t need coaching. He’s got a good one in Justin Peelle.

Ertz has already acknowledged he’s ready to take on the role as teacher and veteran. With all Goedert has around him, he should be fine if he’s willing to learn.

The good news is he appears as though he is.
