Eagles QB Carson Wentz is barely limited at OTAs
Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Carson Wentz is already impressive at OTAs.
It’s time to get excited, Philadelphia Eagles fans. The voluntary workout portion of the offseason is officially underway. And out of 90 invited rookies and veterans, the Eagles had 88 guys show up mostly ready to work. Naturally, things were expected to look a little different considering the Eagles are plagued with injuries this offseason.
For example, defensive end and Super Bowl hero Brandon Graham will not participate in any drills. Considering he is rehabbing a repaired ankle. The same thing goes for select guys like Alshon Jeffery, and Timmy Jernigan. You must be wondering though, how will quarterback Carson Wentz approach OTAs this year? Well, fortunately, we have some excellent news.
After meeting with the media on Tuesday morning, Carson Wentz strapped on a helmet and slid on his arm sleeve to have limited participation at day one of OTAs. Just know that when we say limited, we say it very loosely. In other words, Wentz was heavily involved with the quarterback drills on Tuesday, and thanks to the internet there is video evidence.

Okay, you get the point. This is just a tiny sample, but know that Wentz has pretty much been involved in every drill so far. By the looks of it, Wentz is right on pace with his expected recovery or maybe even ahead of schedule.

The third-year veteran made it very clear that he is working to be ready for the first week of the regular season. While some may say it’s a longshot, it really looks like the Eagles are very optimistic. Considering that they are open to letting him participate in most of the QB drills, it sure seems like there is a lot more information about Wentz’s recovery that we don’t know.
