The Eagles are set to embark on a White House visit, and in doing so, they announce changes to their OTA schedule.
The Philadelphia Eagles made a few changes to their OTA schedule (organized team activities for the uninitiated) thanks to the team’s decision to accept an invitation to visit the White House. Mike Garafolo and Eliot Schorr-Parks were among the first to advise us of Philly’s acceptance of an invitation by White House secretary Lindsay Walters to visit President Donald Trump in our nation’s capital.
This comes a little over four months after the first Super Bowl in team history, the reason for the invitation and visit.
Here’s what we know.

We won’t know how many members of the Super Bowl roster will appear in the photo until it’s taken. We have, however, confirmed several players will be absent. Torrey Smith, Chris Long, Malcolm Jenkins and Brandon Graham are among the players who, at some point or another, announced they’ll be absent.
Philly’s cancelled what was supposed to be a June 4th practice session that was open to the media. They’ll, instead, travel to Washington for their White House visit, which is scheduled for June 5th at 3 PM EST. Philly will, then, return home and resume OTAs with two open practices on June 6th and June 7th.
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer and NBC Sports was among the first to report the news.
