Fans of EA Sports’ Madden game can’t stop talking about player rankings, especially in the case of the Philadelphia Eagles.

If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan and a gamer, you don’t have to be schooled on what we’re discussing when we say Madden NFL 19. For some, the hobby of choice is fantasy football. For others, the preference is placing a controller in their hand and getting lost for hours, whether that be with the Playstation or XBOX gaming systems.

Who are we kidding? Who isn’t doing both these days?

Team rankings are all the rage at the current moment.

Just in case you haven’t heard, the Eagles top all NFL teams this season with an overall ranking of 90. That places them six points higher than their co-stars from Super Bowl LII, the New England Patriots. The New York Jets are in the cellar with an overall team ranking of 72.

Take a look at that and where every other team fell.

How do the Eagles’ individual players stack up against players on other teams?

As we mentioned in a previous story, Philly has four players with an overall ranking of 90 or higher. That includes Malcolm Jenkins (93), Fletcher Cox (92), Jason Kelce (92) and Brandon Graham (92).

Also among their top ten rated players on the game are Jason Peters (87), Alshon Jeffery (87), Lane Johnson (87), Michael Bennett (86), Ronald Darby (86) and Carson Wentz (85).

YouTube.com‘s highly popular Miguel ‘Gator’ Lozada recently released a video on the top ten players from every team.

We’ll stay in the NFC East.

The Dallas Cowboys actually edge ‘The Birds’ with five players with a ranking of 90 or higher. That includes right guard Zack Martin (95), left tackle Tyron Smith (94), center Travis Frederick (92), running back Ezekiel Elliott (91) and linebacker Sean Lee (91).

The New York Giants and Washington Redskins both have one player with a ranking of 90 or higher. The nod for the ‘G-Men’ is given to Odell Beckham Jr. (94) and Trent Williams gets a 91 for ‘The Skins’.

Many believe the Eagles will take the NFC East again and be in the hunt for another Lombardi Trophy. If EA Sports is right, they’ll be in the conversation again when real football kicks off in September.
