It’ll be a topic of discussion all season long. Can the Philadelphia Eagles repeat as champions? One NFL writer gives a bevy of reasons why they can.

It’s inevitable when discussing a team that’s won the Super Bowl. Almost immediately, the question becomes can they do it again? When you have a roster as talented as the one the Philadelphia Eagles possess the pressure mounts almost instantly.

Well, they won without their starting quarterback, their starting middle linebacker and their starting left tackle. They were also without the likes of Darren Sproles and a special teams monster, Chris Maragos.

That alone should put them on the minds of the rest of the NFL, right?

The hype monster is beginning to grow.

Recently, Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philly gave ten reasons why the Eagles will repeat as Super Bowl Champions. If you’re feeling emotional about the fact that ‘The Birds’ may fall victim to the ‘Super Bowl Hangover’, this story may do you some good.

Take a look at the highlights of what Franks to say:

"1. The roster is better2. They are clearly the class of the NFC East.3. Doug Pederson is by far the best coach in the division.4. Peerless skill players.5. Staying hungry…6. Carson Wentz…7. Home-field advantage…8. Doug has done it before.9. The Injured Guy Factor…10. Because everybody is going to say they can’t..."

In addition to the return of Carson Wentz, Jordan Hicks, Jason Peters, Maragos and Sproles, Philly gets a healthy Sidney Jones IV, one of their second-round draft choices from a year ago, on defense. Then, there’s the new Eagles, tight end Dallas Goedert, cornerback Avonte Maddox, defensive end Josh Sweat, offensive tackle Matt Pryor and project Jordan Mailata.

With the exception of Mailata, each one of those guys could pay dividends early.

Next: It’s time for the Eagles to bring back Corey Graham

To tell the truth, when you think about it in that vein, it’s kind of hard not to start drinking some of the Eagles Kool-Aid early, isn’t it? We don’t have a final 53-man roster yet, but things seem to be headed in the right direction. Doug Pederson will have his team focused. The ‘New Norm’ is underway.

Let’s just take things a day at a time and enjoy the ride. Cross your fingers Eagles fans. 2018 might be special.
