Philadelphia Eagles veteran defensive end Brandon Graham may, indeed, come off of the team’s PUP list as early as Monday, August 20th.

We’re not quite at a spot where everyone’s present and accounted for, but they’re trickling in gradually. One day after announcing that Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Carson Wentz would return to 11-on-11 drills, ‘The Birds’ got some more good news. It appears defensive tackle Brandon Graham may return to the Eagles’ practice field as early as Monday

He’s been MIA while sitting on Philadelphia’s PUP (physically unable to perform list). He’s also been working feverishly to get himself back in pads and on the field with his teammates. He won’t be able to participate in everything immediately, but this is a great sign nonetheless.

The news came shortly before bedtime on the east coast on Sunday, August 19th, courtesy of Howard Eskin.

For the uninformed, Eskin is a living legend in Philly. He’s a sideline reporter for Eagles broadcasts on 94 WIP-FM, where Merrill Reese and Mike Quick handle the radio call for every Eagles game. He can also be seen on Philly’s FOX 29.

Here’s the official tweet from Sunday:

So, what now?

From a football standpoint, Graham hasn’t been seen since the Super Bowl. He was placed on the PUP list at the beginning of training camp. This came after an offseason procedure to repair an issue with an injured ankle that he played on through Philly’s magical run to their first Lombardi Trophy.

For those who are interested, there’s been no recent news about when Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will join Graham and his other teammates on the practice field. Like Graham, Jeffery was placed on Philly’s PUP list.

He played just about the entire 2018 calendar year with a torn rotator cuff, and some of you wonder why these guys want their money or why they ask for some much. When was the last time you tore your LCL and ACL, or ripped your shoulder up or hurt your ankle and kept right on going to work?
