The door hasn’t quite slammed on the Philadelphia Eagles’ playoff chances yet. Oh, and have you heard Darren Sproles has an Emmy now? It’s all here on ‘The Roundup’.

If, one year ago, you would have won gone to Las Vegas and bet that Darren Sproles would have won an Emmy, you would have won a ton of bets. If you’re betting that the Philadelphia Eagles are going to find their way into the NFL Playoffs, you have a chance at winning as well, but it won’t be an easy win.

It sounds as though we have a couple of topics for another edition of ‘The Roundup’.

Let’s start with that playoff push.

More from Inside the Iggles

Believe it or not, the Eagles, at 7-7 are still mathematically alive for another entry into the NFL’s postseason. Currently, they sit in the seventh slot among the NFC teams who are still alive, and they can get in one of two ways.

The Minnesota Vikings can lose one or both of their remaining two games, and Philly can win out. That would place ‘The Birds’ in as a Wildcard.

The other scenario is the one that we have discussed more often. The Dallas Cowboys would have to lose both of their remaining two games, and again, Philly would have to win out.

Dallas finishes the regular season with games against both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Giants.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens there.

Sproles wins an Emmy.

Who would have thought a member of the Philadelphia Eagles was capable of winning an Emmy? Who knew that Eagle would be one that hasn’t played a on of football over the past two seasons?

For the uninformed, we’re talking about Darren Sproles. Last year, the Philadelphia Eagles released this mini doc on their highly-popular Goal To Go series. Take a look.

It’s now an award-winning episode of Goal To Go. Check out Sproles posing with a well-deserved Emmy.

This will make a doggone good trivia question 20 years from now. Name a former member of the Philadelphia Eagles who earned both a Super Bowl ring and an Emmy. Congratulations are in order for the Eagles media team and Mr. Sproles.
