Turnover happens in the NFL. The Philadelphia Eagles have made wise roster decisions. They’ve made bad ones, but here are ten guys they were smart to get rid of.

No one will ever admit to this, but roster decisions are a guessing game sometimes. The Philadelphia Eagles are evidence of that. Just take the draft picks they’ve made and the free agents they’ve signed over the past ten seasons. No one knows how these things work out.

Sometimes, you have buyers remorse immediately, Mike Wallace and Torrey Smith for example. Sometimes, it’s a bad scheme fit. At other times, it appears guys aren’t over injuries or they’re aging. At still other times, the dreaded salary cap won’t let you keep too many good players.

With all of that being said, Philly’s done a good job on keeping guys that have produced. Your heart aches when certain players walk and it was something as simple as there not being enough in the pot to keep them. Still, whatever the case, we, sometimes, learn that these departures were the right decisions later.

Here are ten examples of such. Sure there are plenty of other guys that can be added to this list, but here’s a few of the guys that we all can rattle off of the tops of our heads. What are you waiting for? Click to continue.
