You probably don’t need another reason to love Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, but on Friday, following the second day of training camp practice, QB1 gave you one.

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s been a long time since Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has been able to participate in a training camp practice. On Wednesday, November 24th, ‘The Birds’ reconvened at the NovaCare Complex to begin another. One day later, they hit the practice field.

There are now two in the books, and ladies and gentlemen, Wentz looks as good as ever. As a matter of fact, you could argue that he’s never looked better.

Okay, maybe we’re all jumping the gun here. Let’s all slow down for a second and start over. Much of the talk surrounding ‘Mercedes Wentz’ (credit Louis Riddick for that one) surrounds how far he can take Philly in 2019 and how healthy and sharp he looks.

Following a Friday morning practice that stretched into Friday afternoon, Philly’s franchise signal caller made sure one very special Eagles fan had a day to remember. Take a look.

Sure, the chemistry with DeSean Jackson is there. Sure, he’s looking real good when he’s delivering the ball. Yes, we can all agree that ’11’ may have the best collection of running backs, tight ends and wide receivers that he’s ever had surrounding him. Yes, the offensive line was assembled with the idea of keeping him upright.

Here’s the thing. While all of that’s fine and dandy, these are the moments that make Wentz one of the most likeable guys in all of sports.

Wentz had to overcome two torn knee ligaments that ended his second season in the NFL. A season ago, he literally played with a broken bone in his spine. ’11’ has a lot to prove in 2019 after putting pen to paper on a a four-year, $128 million contract extension ($107 million of that is guaranteed).

He seems up to the task. We all know one thing for sure. He’s definitely got this young Eagles fan cheering for him and quite a few other ones as well.
