You think the Philadelphia Eagles are loaded? You have no idea. Pro Football Focus revealed three of their biggest strengths recently.

Ever since the season closed the last go around for the Philadelphia Eagles with a football, unfortunately, slipping through the fingertips of Alshon Jeffery during the Divisional Round of the NFC Playoffs, all we’ve heard is how good ‘The Birds’ are going to be in 2019.

It makes sense right? They won a Super Bowl with a lot of starters on the sideline, and then, a year later, they made another playoff push with more starters injured. Don’t forget their franchise quarterback, Carson Wentz, has been sidelined both times with injuries that prevented him from finishing the regular season healthy.

With all of that being said, is it wrong to believe that an Eagles team at full strength, one that’s finally free of injury, can contend for a Super Bowl?

A few days ago, Pro Football Focus gave their opinion on Philly, and heading into the weekend, they gave us three reasons why ‘The Birds’ would, again, be a force to be reckoned with in 2019.

They have the best pass rush, the best offensive line, and the best receiving corps heading into the 2019 NFL regular season. Take a look.

No one wants to be the bearer of bad news here, but there’s just one issue. That was Friday. On Saturday, Philly lost linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill for the forseeable future with a Lisfranc sprain. Then, they lost rising star Joe Ostman, who had all but assured himself of a roster spot on Sunday at their one and only open practice of training camp.

At the time of this writing, Ostman and Shelton Gibson, who also limped off of the field on Sunday night, were still being evaluated.

Okay, so maybe they aren’t healthy heading into 2019’s regular season either, but here’s the thing. Maybe this time, things are a little different. Maybe this time their best weapons walk onto the field midseason (or earlier) instead of walking off of it. Maybe they walk into the playoffs with their best weapons and they don’t have to play musical chairs at the key positions.
