Believe it or not, there’s some good news coming out of the Philadelphia Eagles organization as it relates to Nate Sudfeld’s injury.

It would seem as though there was more to complain about in the Philadelphia Eagles‘ 27-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans than there was to build from. After a night where we saw turnovers by guys who needed good showings and an injury to quarterback Nate Sudfled, things are quite clear.

Philly’s got a lot of work to do.

Here’s some good news though. Despite learning that Sudfeld suffered a broken wrist that may require surgery, Philly’s backup quarterback isn’t expected to miss the entire 2019 regular season. The injury is in his left wrist. That’s his non-throwing hand.

Yes, he’ll miss time, but he won’t miss the entire season. Again, that’s very good news seeing as how the Eagles don’t seem to have a competent backup behind Wentz if Sudfeld isn’t there.

Okay, that was harsh, but you saw the game didn’t you? There have been reports that rookie Clayton Thorson has been struggling at camp, and completing two passes on nine attempts for seven yards and tossing an ugly interception did nothing to thwart those reports.

Cody Kessler did a little better. He went three of six for 12 yards, but the Eagles coaches seem to be confident in both of them. They don’t appear to be searching for other prospects, so for now, Kessler and Thorson are the guys. If that’s the case, everyone will need to rally behind them.

Let’s hope there’s some improvement in Week 2 of the preseason. After last night, how could they do any worse?
