Offensive line (9)

The verdict: Jason Peters, Andre Dillard, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks, Jason Kelce, Brett Toth, Jordan Mailata, Isaac SeumaloHalapoulivaati Vaitai aka ‘Big V’

The argument: Many theories will support the need to keep ten offensive linemen, but surprises at other positions (Daeshon Hall, T.J. Edwards, and Treyvon Hester) will strengthen the argument that they may go with nine bodies here to make room at other positions.

The signing of Brett Toth made a few waves. Stefen Wisniewski may be on his way out. His experience is invaluable, but those bad snaps in Duval County taught us he probably isn’t a backup center or as versatile as some had hoped he was. Toth’s signing also means Philly can move on from Matt Pryor, who has had a difficult first couple of games.

‘Big V’ has been cross-trained at guard and looks good there. The coaches have long been in love with Isaac Seumalo’s versatility, and the Jordan Mailata experiment may, one day be seen as genius. The goal of Philly’s line was obvious. Keep Carson Wentz upright. They’re off to a good start with this unit.
