Buffalo Bills at New York Jets (Upset Alert)

Venue: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ

What many view as the battle for second place in the AFC East begins with the first of two annual clashes between these two on Sunday. Both squads have talented young quarterbacks, Sam Darnold of the New York Jets and Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills. Both squads would love to start 2019 with a win.

Prediction: The Buffalo Bills upset their rivals, and the rookie Devin Singletary outshines the vet Le’Veon Bell slightly in his first game in over a year.

Final score: Buffalo 24, New York 20

Baltimore Ravens at Miami Dolphins

Venue: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida

Year two of the Lamar Jackson era begins with the Baltimore Ravens. They’re favored in this one as the Miami Dolphins and their rookie head coach, Brian Flores, look to begin their 2019 campaign with a win.

Prediction: Flores’ first win in the NFL will have to wait for another week (at least). The Ravens win this one going away late.

Final score: Baltimore 27, Miami 17
