1. Fletcher Cox, DT

Where was Pro Bowl defensive tackle Fletcher Cox on Sunday? Because he sure didn’t show up on the field now, did he? With 72-percent of the Eagles’ defensive snaps, the All-Star tackle didn’t register a single stat. Not a tackle, nor a sack.

At this point, the Eagles are down to their third-string tackle alongside Fletcher Cox. You would think in times like this Cox would be playing like a mad man. Instead, he disappeared. Here’s the thing; It’s very clear that Cox’s offseason surgery is affecting him.

We saw first-hand last year a lot of players who were coming off of an offseason where they underwent surgery came out and didn’t perform up to their usual standard. That’s where Cox is at right now. But being that he’s supposed to be the best player on the Eagles defense, not registering a single stat surely isn’t going to cut it. The Eagles needed their five-star caliber player to step up, and Cox failed miserably. This is a terrible look for an underperforming defensive unit.
