The Philadelphia Eagles absolutely have to trade for Jalen Ramsey. It’s been obvious for a while, but the first half of Week 4 has proven it.

It’s no longer up for discussion. If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, there’s no other option. ‘The Birds’ absolutely have to trade for Jalen Ramsey.

It’s been talked about, debated, and discussed. Sure Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan has made it plain that he loves Ramsey an is willing to do whatever is necessary to keep him, but it’s called ‘Howie Season’ for a reason.

This is what Eagles vice president and general manager Howie Roseman does. He gets deals like this done.

Here’s what we know. Ronald Darby may be at the end of his run. He isn’t a legitimate top corner on any defense. He’s injury-prone, and an occasional interception here and there doesn’t make up for the constant snafus while he’s in coverage. Rasul Douglas is solid, but sometimes he feels like he’s more of a safety. He’s everything that you want a cover corner to be, but he isn’t very fast.

Avonte Maddox can play, but he’s inexperienced. Cre’Von LeBlanc is on the IR, and Sidney Jones is hurt. You also, at this point, have to ask if he’s a tad fragile. Ramsey will be very expensive. He’ll cost the Eagles a first-round pick (plus another pick) at minimum, but you almost have to believe that the Eagles would use a high draft pick on a corner in the 2020 NFL Draft anyway.

Would they find a corner as good as Ramsey? It isn’t a sure thing, is it? The cost is worth it. Dear Philly, go get Ramsey now!
