Philadelphia Eagles roundup: Jalen Mills wants his throwback jersey
Jalen Mills wants his Philadelphia Eagles throwback threads and now.
Ladies and gentlemen, ‘The Goblin’, Jalen Mills, is upset. He wants those kelly green Philadelphia Eagles jerseys that fans have been talking about for a while. A few NFL teams have given us a blast from the past with several teams donning their throwback jerseys. To be honest, had it not been for all of those stripes, the Chicago Bears wouldn’t have looked too bad in theirs.
Years have gone by and there’s been no word on when the Eagles might be able to run out of the tunnel wearing those kelly green beauties that fans have been clamoring for.
On Sunday, Mills took to Twitter to voice his disapproval, stating the following:
"How are all these teams getting to wear throwback jerseys and we can’t get the Kelly green jerseys back?"
As you might imagine, that went over well, minus a few of those angry fans who can’t seem to stop getting angry over everything. Come on people. It’s a game. It’s supposed to be fun.
Philly’s been without their former seventh-round selection since he suffered a foot injury in Week 8 of the 2018 NFL season. The Eagles place Mills on the IR (injured reserve) on December 8th of 2018. They would learn, in his absence, that they had something special in the form of both Cre’Von LeBlanc and Avonte Maddox, but unfortunately, Mills hasn’t appeared in a game during the 2019 campaign either.
The Eagles placed him on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list on August 31st. Philly could designate him to return later in the season (possibly after Week 8) if he’s ready and if the Eagles so choose, but where he stands beyond that is uncertain. His contract expires after this season, and the Eagles could choose to go in another direction.
Here’s what everyone knows in the meantime. The sooner the ‘Green Goblin’ gets back, the better. The Eagles have struggled in coverage, including the aforementioned Maddox, and all hands are needed on deck.

Many of the fans are in agreement on something. This team should do whatever is necessary to land Jalen Ramsey. Philly re-signed Orlando Scandrick on September 27th, but the general consensus is that won’t be enough. Sure, we all smile when we think of those kelly green jerseys, but we can all probably agree on something else.
If Philly fixes those secondary woes, and they generate a consistent pass rush, no one’s going to care what color their jerseys are.
