NFL’s ‘Next Gen Stats’ reveal something about Carson Wentz’s game that further proves his brilliance, but it’s also some nice info Eagles fans may not know.

We live in a world of numbers. The NFL fan is obsessed with Fantasy football, and if you’re like a ton of other Philadelphia Eagles fans, you’ve probably got Carson Wentz on your Fantasy roster. No one would deny that, but despite the fact that he’s thrown ten touchdowns in Philly’s first five games, those drops by Nelson Agholor, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside, and Dallas Goedert probably had some of you tearing your hair out.

Could you imagine how your Fantasy squad would look right now if Wentz had 13 passing touchdowns to go along with the one he picked up on that dive over the pile in Atlanta versus the Falcons?

Wentz’s brilliance has long been established. Just watch any highlight-reel escape from a pass rush or his ability to deliver the ball accurately regardless of the position his body is in. Well, here’s another reason to get excited.

What if we told you that he’s completing almost 65 percent of his passes, and he’s thrown six touchdown passes versus only one pick for a quarterback rating of 100.4 when he’s been bothered by the blitz? Just check out NFL ‘Next Gen Stats‘, and look for yourself.

Sure, you could argue pressure from an opposing defense would bother any signal-caller and could cause mistakes. That explains the interception, but six touchdowns? How many ways can it be said? ’11’ is amazing. Expect this Eagles team to improve and for Wentz to enter some serious MVP discussions. The best is yet to come.
