Many believe that Philadelphia Eagles wideout Alshon Jeffery spread rumors to Josina Anderson. What does he have to say about it?

ESPN NFL Reporter Josina Anderson has been the talk of the town this week in Philadelphia. As Anderson dug up some dirt within the Philadelphia Eagles locker room and reported it, everybody is beginning to make assumptions and point fingers at who the perpetrator may be.

This kind of situation isn’t exactly new for the Eagles, as the same type of issue happened last year. When Anderson spoke to an ‘anonymous’ source within the Eagles’ locker room, somebody apparently complained that Carson Wentz targeted Zach Ertz too much.

That eventually led to a hit-piece regarding Wentz from the PhillyVoice, which was published months later, including accusations from other players within the locker room as well. Ultimately, it all blew over, though, as the team was getting prepared for the 2019 season.

But once again, the issues are back around. As the Eagles are 3-3 on the year, with more self-harming mistakes than anything, it seems as though the locker room is getting fed up.

Therefore, the ‘anonymous source’ is back to communicating with Anderson, coming up with complaints regarding Howie Roseman’s inability to land Jalen Ramsey, and Wentz’s stubbornness in the passing game. Considering that Josina Anderson has a close relationship with Eagles’ wideout, Alshon Jeffery, many assume that he’s been the ‘source’ all along.

So NJ Advance Media’s Zack Rosenblatt decided to ask Alshon about it himself, and Jeffery did exactly what you would expect him to do — deny, deny, deny — and guess what? We have to believe him because spilling anonymous ‘tips’ really doesn’t make any sense.

Alshon Jeffery’s response:

Earlier, we mentioned that the Eagles picked the worst possible week to have locker room problems. Considering they are tied for first in the NFC East and can have sole possession of the division with a win on Sunday, the team has no reason to be acting like they are win-less at this point. I mean, some teams are 0-6 and aren’t having ‘anonymous’ complaints like this.

We’re not saying Anderson’s report was made up — but why would Wentz’s favorite target as of late speak out with about complaints of the offense? Plus, Jeffery has been known to speak his mind more often than not and hasn’t been one to shy away from expressing his opinion. There’s no doubt somebody within the locker room is unhappy, but thinking it’s Jeffery is hard to believe.
