Howie Season is back. Cue the hashtags.

Enough has been said. At 3-4, the Eagles are one game out of first place in the NFC East, and there’s no reason mail in the season yet. They were in this same position at the same time last season.

One or two moves, hopefully at corner and wideout, would put this team right where they need to be, back in contention. Not only that, it reenergizes the franchise and the fanbase. There you have it. If the Colts play doesn’t work and Agholor doesn’t wind up in Indy, there are two more immediate options. Cincy is sitting there with A.J. Green and some nice options at cornerback, and as mentioned, Arizona is holding on to a very valuable commodity in Peterson.

Could you imagine Philly missing out on Jadeveon Clowney, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Jalen Ramsey, Marcus Peters, A.J. Green, and Patrick Peterson in the same season? The criticism of Eagles vice president and general manager Howie Roseman has been unfair, but with Philly sitting at almost $30 million under the cap, that criticism would explode if the Eagles don’t land somebody before the trade deadline.

It’s up to them to get something done. The deadline is 4 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Oct. 29th.
