Here’s a stat on Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz that may have slipped past you.

Do you know who you are? Yes, you! You’re a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. That means that you’re a member of one of the most intelligent fan bases in all of the NFL and, possibly, one of the smartest fan bases in all of the professional sports. That also means that you didn’t miss a second of Philly’s Week 9 win over the Chicago Bears. With that being said, there probably isn’t a ton that you can be told about Zach Ertz‘s performance in Philly’s most recent win that you don’t already know.

You know about his nine catches. You know that he racked up 103 receiving yards, and he reached the end zone on one of those catches, giving him 46 receptions, 527 receiving yards, and two touchdowns so far in 2019.

Here’s what you might have missed. When he walked off of the turf at Lincoln Financial Field, there were only two men on the planet that can lay claim to doing something that he hadn’t done.

You see Week 9’s game was the 100th of Ertz’s career. He’s racked up 483 receptions over the course of his first seven NFL seasons. Only two men who have played the NFL game can say that they had more.

One is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Kellen Winslow Sr. He has 497. The other is Jimmy Graham. He racked up 485 in his first seven seasons. At this point, it’s safe to say that Zach Ertz is pretty good at this football thing.

Unfortunately, it’s going to be about a week until we see him on the field again.
