8-0. Previous: 2nd. San Francisco 49ers. 1. team. 42.

Every week, we’ve presented tests for the San Francisco 49ers, and every week, they’ve passed those tests with flying colors. The 49ers have won in convincing fashion over teams that they’re better than, rather than playing down to their competition.

They’ve won in defensive struggles, and now, they’ve taken care of business in a slugfest versus division rivals on a short week. Jimmy Garoppolo is the real deal. He’s given the Niners something every legitimate Super Bowl contender needs, a franchise quarterback, and though everyone only wants to give the MVP trophy to quarterbacks, Nick Bosa deserves some real consideration.

. 8-1. Previous: 1st. New England Patriots. 2. team. 47

Can everybody stop with the ridiculous commentary already? The New England Patriots are still the team to beat in the AFC. They lost a game. That’s all, and even though some of you may not want to hear this, this next statement is a fact.

They’re still better than the Baltimore Ravens.

If you don’t believe that, ask yourself a few questions. Who’s a better coach than Bill Belichick? Can you honestly say that you really believe that there’s a quarterback, right now, who can beat Tom Brady in a big game? If the Patriots and Ravens played right now and you had to bet your life savings on the winner, who would you put your money on?

The Patriots will be fine, and now, the entire NFL has a problem. You just ticked them off.
