5. Could Haskins finally have a breakout game?

Even though the Redskins acquired veteran Case Keenum in the offseason, it became clear in April the hope was Dwayne Haskins would turn out to be the long-term answer in Washington, although the team would need to be patient.

Like most rookies, Haskins clearly has numerous areas in need of improvement before the rookie is anywhere close to the level that Washington needs him on for the team to be considered a serious threat again in the NFC.

The good news for the Redskins is despite some of the struggles at times on offense over the last few months, the early experience for Haskins should pay off in a big way for the long run.

With that being said, Haskins has unfortunately been dealing with a minor ankle injury leading up to Sunday’s game against the Eagles, but this shouldn’t rule the young quarterback out from potentially having a breakout performance.

With Haskins throwing for less than 200 yards in four of his five starts, Sunday could be the day in which the Redskins rookie finally has the breakout performance the team has been waiting for, especially if he takes advantage of the struggles by the Eagles at the cornerback position.
