Philadelphia Eagles fans aren’t going to like this. heading into Week 16, the odds have been released, and the ‘Birds’ are home underdogs versus the Dallas Cowboys.
If you’re one of those Philadelphia Eagles fans who don’t like the fact that it’s 2019 and people can’t stop talking about 2017’s championship run, you may not like this next reference, but heading into Week 16, the odds have been released. The “Birds’ are underdogs at home.
According to The Action Network, as of 4 p.m. EST on December 17th, the Eagles are 2.5-point underdogs for their Week 16 game versus the Dallas Cowboys.

Might we see the dog masks? Almost two years ago, the Eagles became the first top-seeded team to open their playoff push as underdogs when they met the Atlanta Falcons. Then, they were underdogs against the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game. Then, they were underdogs again in the Super Bowl.
Along the way, Chris Long and Lane Johnson donned dog masks. The Eagles fans followed suit, and if you caught on late and tried to get one of your own, you quickly realized that your fellow Eagles fans had depleted the entire world’s supply of them.
Here we are, and it’s ‘Cowboys’ Week’. It didn’t happen the way that we thought it would, but the NFC East comes down to a game between the Eagles and the Cowboys. The winner probably takes the division. The Cowboys are favored even though Philly’s at home.
To be honest, that actually makes sense. Dallas looked good in Week 15. The Eagles didn’t, despite the fact that they won. Dallas has won four straight over the ‘Birds’ (three games that the Eagles actually tried to win). If Philadelphia can end the losing streak, it could make for a very nice Christmas present.
