8 healthy quarters

Before Philadelphia can get to those 12 extra quarters of football, they need to get through the next two regular-season games, eight quarters of football. What’s been mentioned more times than necessary has been the fact that the winner of the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys Week 16 clash will have an inside track to the NFC East’s crown.

What hasn’t been mentioned as often has been the fact that if the ‘Birds’ beat Dallas but then lose on the following Sunday to the New York Giants, the Cowboys still take the division if Dallas wins their finale versus the Washington Redskins.

Philly’s been ravaged by injuries all season and all of the last three seasons. Let’s hope that they don’t get hit with anymore. Eight healthy quarters of regular season football. That’s what we want. Then, the Eagles get to play in another 12 if things go right in an attempt to get to Miami in February.
