Philadelphia Eagles: 7-Round 2020 mock draft following Wild Card Round
By Dan Parzych
Sixth Round: Central Michigan RB Jonathan Ward
Between Jordan Howard‘s future with the team being uncertain along with Darren Sproles deciding to call it a career, the Eagles could very well look to the draft to add depth at the linebacker position.

Last April, Philadelphia felt confident enough in using a second-round pick on Miles Sanders, and while the first few months of the rookie’s season were decent, the former Penn State star really stepped up when Howard was dealing with a shoulder injury.
In fact, the argument can be made there is no way the Eagles end up being NFC East champions if it weren’t for Sanders stepping up in a big way on offense, so Philadelphia certainly has plenty of reasons to be excited moving forward.
Take Sanders into consideration along with the surprise emergence of Boston Scott, the Eagles could have a fun new duo to work with in 2020, but also will still need extra help at the running back position.
After finding the end zone 16 times (one receiving) in 2019 to go along with 1,437 yards from scrimmage, Jonathan Ward seems worthy of a late-round selection to see if the Central Michigan star would have what it takes to battle for a roster spot.
Since a team like Philadelphia can never have too many running backs, Ward could make for some great insurance in the backfield.
