No one would be surprised at all if Philadelphia focused most of their attention on the defensive side of the football early on in the draft when seeing how competitive the NFC East is already looking for 2020, as previously mentioned before.

Even if the Eagles decide to go defense right away in the first round, it certainly wouldn’t hurt for the team to go back-to-back with picks on that side of the football.

When looking at some of the potential prospects expected to be available in the second round at No. 53, Justin Madubuike from Texas A&M should be a name to keep an eye on for Philadelphia.

Like most prospects, Madubuike has plenty to bring to the table as a young defender, but his explosiveness is arguably the one thing that stands out the most.

For the most part, Philadelphia’s defense has been considered one of the best in the league over the last couple of years under Jim Schwartz, and the unit played a big role last season in helping the team finish on top of the NFC East.

Looking at the current situation for the Eagles, the addition of Madubuike could be one of those situations in which he wastes little time making an impact as a rookie by providing all sorts of pressure to opposing quarterbacks.
