3. Jeff Driskel

Due to Matthew Stafford dealing with a back injury, Jeff Driskel was in the perfect position to show off his skills under center for the Lions last season before the quarterback suffered an injury of his own.

Unfortunately, Driskel failed to win a single game for Detroit in three appearances during the 2019 season, but all things considered, he did make a solid case at times in regards to earning a backup role for next season.

Time will tell when it comes to seeing whether Driskel will return to the Lions for a second season, or he takes his talent elsewhere.

But if Driskel were to test the free agency market, Philadelphia happens to be one of the teams in need of options at backup quarterback.

Watching Carson Wentz stay healthy for the most part throughout the 2019 season was a huge relief for the Eagles when looking at some of his previous injuries, but also the team is smart enough to know they need a reliable backup under center just in case.

Driskel may not seem like the most attractive option in the world when comparing his experience to other potential candidates, but for all Philadelphia knows, this could be a solid fit for Doug Pederson’s squad.
