Adrian Killins, Central Florida, running back

Say what you want about the UCF Knights. They keep finding players. Have you noticed that they keep sneaking their way into those primetime slots on Saturday nights on ESPN? No, they’re never going to be the Alabama Crimson Tide, but it’s getting to the point where they come up in a lot of discussions about NCAA football.

Somebody from the Novacare Complex and the Eagles’ coaching staff was paying attention in 2019 because the “Birds” signed Adrian Killins shortly after the conclusion of 2020’s selection meeting. During his 51-game collegiate career, he racked up 2,459 yards as a rusher and reached the end zone 25 times on the ground.

He added another 864 yards as a receiver and was on the receiving end of eight touchdown passes. He’s small at five-foot-eight and 164 pounds, but it will be nice to see how he progresses. Chris Hays of the Orlando Sentinel says he entered the third day of the draft with a “chip on his shoulder”. As a fan, you always love to see that get said about anybody.
