3. Cowboys face tough September

Even though there are only three games scheduled for the month of September due to a later start, all three games for the Cowboys will arguably be against playoff-caliber teams.

From opening the new season on the road against the Los Angeles Rams in their new stadium to having to travel out west again at the end of the month for a battle against the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas will certainly have their work cut out for them early on.

Meanwhile, the Eagles will get to face the Rams as well, although Philadelphia hosting Los Angeles in Week 2 instead of having to travel across country could work to their advantage in a big way.

Not to mention, with Philadelphia opening up the new season on the road against the Washington Redskins along with hosting the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3, there is a good chance of the Eagles entering the month of October sitting pretty at 3-0.

Nothing is guaranteed for obvious reasons since the NFL is always filled with plenty of surprises, but if Philadelphia can take advantage of the favorable September schedule while Dallas suffers one or two key losses, this could benefit the Eagles in a big way.
