3 dream trade targets for Eagles from Buccaneers before 2020 training camp
By Dan Parzych
1. Shaquil Barrett
One can only imagine how different the offseason may have been for the Eagles or a few other teams if Shaquil Barrett were available in free agency instead of earning the franchise tag from the Buccaneers.

But also, since Barrett has yet to officially sign his tag tender at the time of this article, it’s difficult not to wonder how 2020 could play out if Philadelphia were to somehow end the star defender through a trade.
The fact that Barrett set a new career high in sacks (19.5) during his first year in Tampa Bay last season after combining for 14 the previous five years as a member of the Denver Broncos shows why the Buccaneers decided to use the franchise tag.
Most likely, Barrett would prefer to earn some sort of long-term deal from the Buccaneers, but if it comes to the point where the two sides struggle to reach an agreement, a potential trade could happen at some point.
Even if Philadelphia would have to chalk up a ton of money just to land Barrett as a result of a trade, there’s no question this would be worth it for the 2020 season and beyond.
As much praise as the Eagles receive on offense thanks to Carson Wentz, the defense has been a major strength over the last three years and deserves just as much credit.
