First, any Philadelphia Eagles fan who’s lost needs to be schooled on what happened.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, no one has to be reminded of Nick Foles’ resume.

More from Inside the Iggles

He lit it up in Philly early before Chip Kelly traded him to what was then the Saint Louis Rams for Sam Bradford. Then, he returned to the Eagles as a backup to Carson Wentz and was forced into action when Philly’s star tore his ACL and MCL in 2017. There isn’t an Eagles fan in the Deleware Valley or anywhere else on Planet Earth that doesn’t know how that worked out.

After winning Super Bowl 52 and being named the game’s MVP, NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Reuben Frank anointed Foles as the greatest Eagles quarterback in franchise history. You can argue that had he played his entire career in Philly, we might be talking about Canton.

The jury is still out on “11”, but he definitely showed how great he can be in both 2017 and down the stretch in 2019. Foles has had his moments as well. You can’t ignore his Pro Bowl season in 2013 or what he did in his second run with the “Birds”, but when you compare apples to oranges (something that’s being done here), “11” gets the slight edge over “9”. Here’s why Bennett makes a statement one could back but a statement that was wrong nonetheless.
