Philadelphia Eagles legend Nick Foles and wife, Tori, welcome new addition.

It sounds cliche. It’s been said thousands of times, but as Philadelphia Eagles fans, we forget that we cheer for real people sometimes. Since they throw on shoulder pads and run into other star athletes who are often bigger, we reduce guys to jersey numbers, cogs on our Fantasy teams, and their overall-ratings in our Madden franchise or “Ultimate Team mode, but seeing Nick Foles hold his daughter Lily as the confetti fell will always be a part of every Eagles fans’ fondest memories.

Well, congratulations are in order as Nick and his wife Tori welcomed a new addition to their family on June 12th. This one’s a boy, and his name is Duke Nathan Foles. Try nine pounds on for size.

It’s a little early to tell whether or not he’ll be able to thread the needle in the same manner that his father does or whether or not he’ll be able to put one over three New England Patriots and into the arms of any undrafted rookies in football’s biggest game, but regardless of whether he takes that walk or eschews a life in the NFL for bigger or more important plans, one thing is absolutely certain.

He’s got the love of Eagles fans all over the Delaware Valley and throughout our great nation until he makes his mind up and long after he does.

This is a family. It consists of Eagles legends, the Philly media, and the fans, and that family has welcomed another addition. Again, we’re reminded that life is about more than our Fantasy rosters. Congratulations again to Mr. and Mrs. Foles.
