Philadelphia Eagles: 2 Reasons Miles Sanders is a top-5 RB in Fantasy

1. The Philadelphia Eagles may use the ‘committee’ approach less often in 2020.
For the first time since the LeSean McCoy days, the Eagles finally have a true franchise option at running back. Because of this, there’s a strong possibility that the running back by committee approach will likely be abandoned.

Using several running backs in the rotation is often a successful approach in NFL football, (after all the Eagles won a Super Bowl using that strategy), but backs that are used in a committee system are a Fantasy owner’s worst nightmare. Anyone who had Miles Sanders on their team in 2019 had to sit in frustration and watch Jordan Howard get most of the workload at the beginning of 2019, but now, with Howard gone, the backfield has a clear ‘RB1’.
Duce Staley dismissed any doubt about Miles Sanders not being the workhorse running back when he recently told several members of the Philly media “I don’t see Miles as a guy that you have to monitor his touches” and that he’s “excited about him handling the full load.” It’s clear that the coaching staff trusts Sanders to handle most of the running back duties for the Eagles in 2020.
If you’ve already drafted Sanders, this should be music to your ears. If your draft is at a later date, you should look to draft him. Especially given his average draft position in Fantasy football leagues.
