1 Positive and negative of Philadelphia Eagles missing on Yannick Ngakoue
Here’s the negative Philadelphia Eagles fans can take from watching Ngakoue become a potential adversary.
For those of you who are extremely upset about this (though the buzz has clearly died down, there was a contingent that wanted to see this guy in a midnight green jersey), Ngakoue signing somewhere else can be seen as a positive. Sure, there are some potentially negative ramifications as well. Let’s start with those.

The potentially bad news, with the emphasis on ‘potentially’ is this. Whenever someone possessing game-breaking talent lands in your conference and goes to a contender, there’s obviously a reason to pay attention.
While the Minnesota Vikings don’t show up on Philly’s schedule in 2020, there is the chance that the ‘Birds’ will meet them in a playoff game, and though the Eagles have seen their fair share of playoff success versus the Vikes, they haven’t been able to limit Kirk Cousins (if he played the Eagles every week, we might be talking about him entering Canton).
There’s also the question about this team’s state of offensive readiness along the offensive line as the regular season begins. You’d like to think 17 weeks of the regular season should be enough to get this team where they want to be. Regardless of what your feelings are on that, you have to admit that the idea of having Ngakoue on your side sounds a ton better than having to gameplan against him.
