Okay, let’s establish something. We’ll have to wait and see if the first-overall selection in 2020’s NFL Draft can sustain what we’ve seen to this point. It definitely isn’t time to crown Joe Burrow yet, but if the first two weeks of his NFL career are any indication, this guy is going to be pretty good if not extraordinary.

After establishing himself last season with the best season by a quarterback at the collegiate level in NCAA history, Burrow followed 60 touchdowns in 2019 for the LSU Tigers with 61 passing attempts in his first primetime game. That one resulted in three touchdowns, albeit in a 35-30 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Even more impressive is the fact that he didn’t throw a pick despite airing the ball out so much.

Good gracious, those Browns and Bengals defenses are horrible, and that might serve Philly well in 2020 in the two games where they face the teams the late and great Paul Brown built. The Eagles haven’t been stellar on defense, but they typically play well in the games they absolutely have to win, especially when those games come after losses.

Jim Schwartz’s guys will bounce back in this one to the tune of about three sacks. The pressure will force Burrow into two turnovers, Philly’s first two forced turnovers of the season.
