. . . Dallas Cowboys, December 27th. . player. 123

The Philadelphia Eagles close the 2020 campaign with two divisional games.

Does anyone remember Christmas in 2006, when the Eagles drove a monster truck driven by Jeff Garcia into Texas Stadium and opened a Stone Cold Steve Austin-style butt-kicking on the so-called ‘America’s Team’? That was a great night.

Though two days after the big day, Philly’s Week 16 opponent this season, just like it was last season and on Christmas of 2006 is, again, Dallas. What’s that saying? It’s the thought that counts?

Though nothing says ‘holiday cheer’ like watching Philly throttle the Cowboys in front of a pro-Dallas crowd (those shots of a stressed-out Jerry Jones in the press box are always super clutch), if we all have to wait until two days after December 25th to watch this happen, it will still feel like ‘the gift that keeps on giving’. Expect Philly to roll in a game in which Dallas might be more interested in playing the Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields sweepstakes.  Prediction: Eagles 27, Cowboys 10

58. . . . Washington, January 3rd. . player

Revenge is a dish best served cold. Isn’t that the saying? For the 6,000 or so fans that will be allowed at Lincoln Financial Field for the 2020 regular-season finale, the remnants of what should be another raucous New Year’s Day celebration will still be in the air. So should some very cool Winter weather.

Do you remember all of that talk about Dallas battling the Eagles all year for divisional superiority? What if we were all wrong? What if the thorn in the Eagles’ craw was actually the Washington Football Team? They already boast a win over Philly. Another means that they sweep the series.

This one’s at Lincoln Financial Field, so the ‘Birds’ should be the favorites, especially if they’re getting healthy later in the season. Even still, you never know with divisional games. Expect Philly to win as this one will decide the NFC East, but expect them to make it tough on themselves. Here’s a prediction: Eagles 20, Washington 17.
