The Philadelphia Eagles dropped their third straight loss in Week 12.

In a perfect world, the staff here ate ITI would love to be able to tell fans that the Philadelphia Eagles fought the good fight in Week 12, but unfortunately, that isn’t how things went. Don’t let the 23-17 final score fool you. This game was over long before the final whistle, so if you checked out early, everyone would understand. No worries. Here’s a recap if you need one.

In the first five possessions of this game, the Eagles only netted 74 yards of offense. Things were looking to be extremely gloomy in the first half until Philadelphia, thanks to a few penalties, finally found themselves in the red zone at the end of the first half. Carson Wentz found Dallas Goedert in the end zone, but in true 2020 Eagles fashion, Jake Elliott missed the extra point.

Once again, the stale and uninspiring play was the theme of the Eagles offense for the remainder of the game. Philly was able to score on a field goal in the third quarter and a garbage-time touchdown with 12 seconds left, but even though the offense was in shambles, some kudos have to be given to the Birds’ defense.

Philly’s defense racked up 11 tackles for a loss and two sacks. They also held the Seahawks’ rushing attacks to only 76 yards while limiting Russell Wilson to 230 passing yards and one touchdown toss. Now, ITI had eluded that they were going to struggle to stop the Seahawks passing game, especially with D.K. Metcalf present, but the Birds had chances to win. They didn’t. They’ve now dropped three straight, so with that being said, here are a few studs and duds.
