If the Philadelphia Eagles strengthen the second level, everyone wins.

Despite the Philadelphia Eagles drafting two linebackers in last year’s draft, the middle of the defense is a huge question mark. They need to add defensive weapons to compete not only in the NFC East but in the NFC as a whole.

The first pick was about helping Philly win against other passing attacks. Their second figures to help in both the passing and rushing defense.

Enter Missouri Tigers linebacker Nick Bolton, who is a complete linebacker, one who plays well versus both the passing game and the run. The six-foot and 230-pound weapon is a sideline to sideline monster who has the speed to diagnose and blow up any offensive play. He’s built to call defensive signals at the next level and can be the centerpiece to the Eagles’ defense.

The Philadelphia Eagles haven’t had a weapon quite like Bolton since Jordan Hicks, who, as you know, left for the Arizona Cardinals after 2018. Adding Bolton would be another solid step towards crafting a dominant Eagles defense, something we have not seen since the days of the late, great Jim Johnson.
