player. 816. . . . K.J. Sails, South Florida Bulls.

K.J. sails can be the perfect fit for a struggling Philadelphia Eagles DB room.

University of South Florida defensive back K.J. Sails is a versatile defender. He has a quick-twitch in coverage and the speed to help the Philadelphia Eagles immediately.

A true plug-and-play defender Sails possesses the football intelligence and tools to be used in a multitude of ways. He’s able to flourish as a corner on an island, kick inside to cover the slot, or drop back to play free-safety where he started his career.

What might be his greatest strength, aside from his excellent ball-skills, is his ability to take a punt or kickoff the distance. A legit return man (something the Philadelphia Eagles need), Sails could serve as a special teams threat, both on punts and on kickoffs.

The former North Carolina Tar Heel is also a leader both on and off the field so his presence in the Philadelphia Eagles’ locker room would only be a positive.

With the addition of South Florida, product K.J. Sails, the Birds get some versatility. Adding him to this roster wouldn’t just fill a truck-sized hole. It would also add a player that can help in many roles.
