The Philadelphia Eagles need some help at the wide receiver position.

If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, you’re well aware of the lack of wide receiver talent in the locker room. The Birds drafted Jalen Reagor in the first round of last year’s draft in hopes of resolving the issue, but after an underwhelming season by the rookie receiver, we’re back to square one.

Many mock drafts, including a few ITI projections, have the Eagles taking a pass catcher in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. It’s been 15 years since a team has selected two wide receivers in the first round of consecutive drafts, but the Birds need the help and may snap this streak.

The last 1,000-yard wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles was Jeremy Maclin in 2014 back when he was catching passes from Mark Sanchez. Due to poor drafting and a lack of free-agent signings, the front office has struggled to find quality wide receivers these past few years.

The silver lining for Eagles fans is that the team will have ample opportunity to add wide receiver talent this offseason. Sure there’s the draft, but there’s a pool of receivers in free agency that can greatly improve the offense for the 2021 season. Let’s take a look at three inexpensive wide receivers for the Philadelphia Eagles.
