Let’s talk about a few ‘boom or bust’ Philadelphia Eagles prospects.

It’s been said thousands of times though many of us, as Philadelphia Eagles fans, can’t remember where we heard it first. The NFL Draft isn’t an exact science now nor has it ever been one.

Sure, the vice president/general manager, Howie Roseman and the franchise’s chairman, Jeffrey Lurie have combined for some boneheaded picks (rumor has it that it was Lurie that wanted JJ Arcega-Whiteside). Still, whenever a team takes any draft prospect, there’s no guaranteed return on the investment.

There’s also this to consider. Second-round draft choices are often in the second round for a reason. At times, there are question marks, and that makes picking early in Round 2 interesting.

Still, unless the Birds are interested in bartering the 37th-overall selection in Round 2 in an attempt to jump back into the later stages of Round 1, the fifth slot in the draft’s second round is where they’ll be making a very important business decision.

Let’s just say that they stay put. They’ll have some nice options. Many of them carry names that we know. Let’s talk about guys who aren’t getting a ton of burn nationally though. Here are four-boom-or-bust guys that have the potential to elevate a franchise or set it back some.

Here’s a list of four guys the Eagles need to be doing some homework on.
