15 players with ties to Philadelphia Eagles receive Hall of Fame nominations.

At the midpoint of what’s commonly known in Philadelphia Eagles lore as Dallas Cowboys Week, some Philly-centric conversation got sprinkled all over NFL discussions and chats on a day that we all used to refer to as ‘WentzDay’.

Wow! It doesn’t even sound the same anymore, does it? Sorry, we regressed.

What’s more important than that is the next induction ceremony could feature a ton of that midnight green. Then again, depending on the era that you grew up in, you might be seeing hues of the beloved kelly green.

Regardless of where you are in that discussion, here’s some news that should force a smile across your face or make you sing ‘Fly, Eagles Fly’, whichever comes first. On Wednesday, September 22nd, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2022 nominees were announced. For Birds fans, there are quite a few names that you’ve probably heard a time or two in your life.

Here are a few guys that you either remember playing or heard your grandfather (or grandmother) talking about. For some of them, we’re hoping that this is the last step in an induction that probably should have occurred many, many moons ago.

Keep in mind the fact that this list doesn’t include Dick Vermeil who was named as one of the Senior Finalists.
